We absolutely loved our stay at Moo Cow. Jennifer is an outstanding host and really does have everything covered. The attention to detail and forethought really shines through. The shower has great pressure, there are ample towels, great toys, books etc for the kids, and recliners for the adults. The house itself is amazing. Very generous sized bedroom and well equipped kitchen so you can actually self cater if you want to. The location is lovely. Even in winter with rain everyday it was an amazing place to stay. Lots of great local pubs and walks. The house is very warm and cosy and we had a lovely stay there as a family. This really was the best place we have stayed on our travels.

Moo Cow Cottage is a lovely house to stay in, with excellent facilities which included a wonderful selection of toys which our grandchild loved. Jennifer is a lovely host and welcomed us with a lovely visit and chat. Everything lived up to our expectations and beyond. The surroundings are so peaceful and is in a good position to visit many interesting places.

Stunning location and beautiful accommodation . Jennifer couldn’t be more helpful and really has thought of everything you might need in the property. Really enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend. We visited with friends and their child and we are thinking about visiting again with our own adult kids. The property was spotlessly clean and well maintained

The cottage and its location were great!! The cottage was clean, beautiful, cozy, tidy, very neat, it smelled wonderful and everything you can think of was present. For kids, it's super fun, too! A shed with tractors etc. and a playroom inside with all kinds of toys. Night lights on the landing, stair gate present and a crib. In short; completely complete! The view from the garden is beautiful, there are many nice things to see and do in the area, you definitely don't have to be bored. Highly recommend fat! And we will definitely be back! :)

Our stay was just lovely. Our children loved the tractors and the outdoor space. So many lovely touches to moo cow cottage that just made it feel like home. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be booking to visit again soon.

Moo Cow Cottage is the slice of country life you need for the perfect family getaway. I cannot recommend this place enough. Jennifer is the perfect host who ensures a wonderful stay for her guests. Our top five things: 1) Power shower 2) Lots of things to keep everyone happy (kids toys/spaces to play/board games) 3) Cosy living room and fire 4) Comfy beds 5) Feel instantly at home and able to relax in a rural area

Recently returned from an Easter stay at Moo Cow Cottage. My extended family had a fabulous time and the cottage exceeded expectations in every way. The cottage is immaculately presented and Jennifer is just the perfect host. Thanks so much for a weekend of memories we’ll cherish forever!

Really great cottage - we enjoyed our 2 night stay. The surroundings are beautiful and Jennifer was great with communication and instructions on arriving and everything else whilst we were there.

This is a wonderful house in a wonderful spot and the owners have thought of everything! There were toys inside and out for our 4 year old, plus such a well equipped kitchen we didn’t need to bring the usual car full. Everything was made so easy in the lead up with really clear communication and a warm welcome. The house is beautifully decorated and in a lovely, peaceful spot but easily accessible for days out. We had a great time at Rutland water, with lots to do for children. Thank you, we will be back!

What an absolute gem this cottage is! The cottage is absolutely immaculate and Jennifer has literally thought of everything. I have never stayed anywhere where everything is provided/catered for. We had an extremely warm welcome from Jennifer shortly after arrival, who made it very clear that nothing was too much trouble, despite being very busy on the farm! The surroundings are so beautiful and peaceful, we just loved walking around the farm and the woods, enjoying the view and watching the cows. So looking forward to returning!

We stayed in Moo Cow Cottage for a week and it is definitely one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in (and we've stayed in loads!). The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped for us and our dogs. Everything is provided ( and listed in the digital guide book) which meant we didn't need to bring kitchen roll, laundry liquid, food bags or anything extra for the dogs - there are 3 sizes of dog crate to borrow, poo bags, dog treats, spare lead and even dog shampoo and towels. The garden is completely enclosed and was ideal for our 2 dogs. We stayed during the heatwave and there were fans available in all the bedrooms which made all the difference. Really can't recommend this cottage enough and Jennifer really is the perfect host. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

An amazing place to stay! Jennifer is an absolutely fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble. The house is lovely and fully equipped. It's a great place to stay with children. They have ride on toy tractors and a great outdoor space.

We had the best stay at Moo Cow Cottage!! All my family and friends back in Somerset now know where to stay when visiting someone in Leicester. Jennifer was so welcoming and accommodating to all of our needs. The rooms were spotless, and the kids loved all the toys and tractors. Can't wait to come back!

The cottage was the most well equipped we have stayed in and we have stayed in a fair few. It has everything needed for a 1 night or even a week away or longer, forget the dog lead or your razor then Jennifer has you covered she has thought of everything you might have forgotten. The attention to detail was outstanding and it was spotless and clean. Nothing is too much trouble for Jennifer she even moved some more seating into the private garden to accommodate our guests while staying, she was very welcoming and helpful and the chocolate cake was delicious. Great place for peace and quiet, families, couples or even on your own. We will be returning and thank you for making our special day as good as it could have been

Moo Cow cottage is situated in a quiet country setting and the facilities are all what one could wish for .Jennifer is a fantastic host and her chocolate cake is delicious ! Our 2 granddaughters loved all of the toys and games . A relaxing and enjoyable stay . We are looking forward to staying again in 2021

Great holiday cottage. My family and I have had a lovely, relaxing, peaceful stay at the Moo Cow cottage. The cottage has everything you need to enjoy your stay there, including a fully equipped kitchen. The homemade chocolate cake that was left for us was delicious! The host is friendly and helpful but not intrusive. I would recommend this holiday cottage to my friends and family.

Had a wonderful few days at Moo Cow Cottage. Every little detail was thought of. The beds were lovely and comfortable. Lovely walks through the woods behind the farm. Would definitely love to return sometime. Oh and the home made chocolate cake was the best I’ve ever tasted! A lovely welcome gift. Thank you Jennifer.

Fantastic location close to Rutland Water, Oakham and Stamford. Well presented with everything youd need for a nice stay and lots of nice touches (a cake waiting on arrival and toys for the little ones). Had a fantastic time and would happily stay there again. Jennifer was a welcoming host and happy to help out in any way she could.

Quiet and peaceful location. Spotlessly clean, superbly well equipped and comfortable. The owner has thought of everything guests you might need, providing many useful items, including a delicious cake on arrival. Excellent communication and great support for guests.

The location is superb. The owners are really nice people and the cottage is first class. I really can't fault it and brilliant for a few days away or longer. The equipment provided is plentiful and there is even a cupboard of things to use that you may have forgotten (toothbrush, deodorant, etc etc) So thoughtful. There are three lovely bedrooms with wonderful views and the cottage is immaculately clean and welcoming. There is NOTHING not to like and I have never put that in a review before

We have spent a lovely family weekend in this pretty, spotlessly clean cottage. The lit open fire and delicious chocolate cake made by Jennifer was very welcoming, as was the kind friendly hospitality of Jennifer and her family. The cottage is very well equipped with comfy beds and large rooms, set in a peaceful position on a working farm. Our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed looking at the cows, playing on the toy ride-on tractors and walking down the lane to the duck pond. Our only regret was not being able to stay longer in this beautiful area of Rutland but we hope to return again in the future.

Jennifer was extremely helpful and accommodating to our group of 4 adults and 3 children. This was our 2nd stay and we are lucky to have amazing weather so enjoyed a lovely BBQ in the garden. The kids loved playing on the toys and rooms where all clean and tidy. Excellent cake on arrival and lovely to have with a cup of tea.... even fresh milk and tea bags supplied!!! Would highly recommend Moo Cow. Good location to explore Rutland Waters.

Wonderful time, cottage beautifully clean, homely and everything we needed. Beds really good quality, beautifully decorated, co-ordinated bedrooms. Open fire was the icing on the cake. Jennifer the owner is a lovely lady, nothing to much trouble.

Having seen the photo's on line of a lovely cottage I can honestly say that it was even better than the photo's. The setting was amazing with fields to look out on and totally peaceful and relaxing setting. We arrived with our friends with home made cake and tea which was beautifully laid out for us. Jennifer was so lovely and made us feel so welcome. It was a total delight to have stayed at Moo Cow Cottage and we will definitely be looking to book again in the future.
